Marahaba Music Expo is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Bujumbura Burundi working to educate the public, share innovation, promote progress, and foster cooperation through music and arts. It was founded in 2018 with the aim of bringing light to the youth and people of Burundi after the war. The vision is a peaceful and vibrant Burundi with limitless youth in development while the mission is to build innovation and creativity for a happy country.
Marahaba Music Expo Festival is also an international music forum for Africa that happens every two years and involves artists, musicians, organizers, agent bookers, producers, and media at large from Africa and the rest of the world. It is committed to facilitating dialogue between artists in Africa and from other parts of the world.
The Expo comprises workshops programs, discussions, lectures, and stage performances. Since the inaugural festival in 2018, five festivals have been conducted reaching 5 million people in Burundi. This contributes to good mental health as people always look forward to our entertainment and utilization of talents to their full potential. Besides entertainment, there are exhibitions and showcases of business initiatives or enterprises by women.
Our organization has a Marahaba Arts Center for learning about art and music for young women and men in Bujumbura. The goal is to provide music education to young people.
